The 2023 world famous Cowes Week welcomed new sailors to this year’s regatta after organisers announced the introduction of the Weekend Warriors Cup for the Club Cruiser Division back in April.
The Cruising Association sponsored event provided a unique opportunity for Club Cruiser class yachts to race at Cowes Week, perfect for guests looking to race one of our Oceanis 37s.
Who participated?
Perfect for part-time pirates of all backgrounds and abilities, the new mini-series offered three days of epic racing starting on July 29th.
Many chose to join a bareboat charter, including Fairview customers Tom Rose and Connor Campbell, allowing them to compete in a supportive and sociable environment, with crews made up of friends, colleagues, and even complete strangers. The races showcased the camaraderie and passion for sailing that Cowes Week is known for, and it was inspiring to see sailors from all walks of life come together to compete in this thrilling event.
